DARYL LOGULLO LEGACY

DARYL LOGULLO

“The way up in the kingdom is down.”

Daryl Logullo’s life was one defined by God, hard work, dedication to family, and service to his community.

Sadly, this dynamic life was cut all too short when Daryl suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 47.

Daryl walked with God and followed God in all that he did. He was a man fiercely dedicated to his family, wife Beth, son Matthew, and a rock for many others who came to know him. Daryl challenged everyone around him to think bigger, get outside of the box, and most importantly, to attempt big things!

Daryl was a standout pillar in his community in a variety of ways. He was a highly requested and gifted speaker as an expert in finance and e-commerce, as well as a published author. He was an avid DIY-er and had no fear when it came to fixing anything. In fact, he usually took things a step further and found a way to monetize many of his projects through YouTube videos and various web postings.

In 2006, Daryl worked tirelessly to write, lobby, and successfully pass the Florida MISSing Angels Bill; later renamed “Katherine’s Law” in honor and memoriam of he and wife Beth’s stillborn daughter, Katherine. Shortly after her birth, Daryl and Beth received only a death certificate in the mail for their daughter. Daryl made the immediate and rightful argument that they should have also received a birth certificate, since Katherine was in fact, born. Katherine’s Law now allows for parents of stillborn children to receive a birth certificate in addition to a death certificate for their children. As the national legislative liaison for the Missing Angels Foundation, Daryl played a vital role in passing birth certificate legislation for stillborn children in 18 other states and helped produce video content to promote the legislation.

Daryl accomplished all of this and so much more in his 47 years of life. He believed that big things were possible for anyone willing to put in the work. In an interview he gave just weeks before his death, Daryl was quoted as saying: “The way up in the kingdom is down”, referencing Mark 9:35 from the Bible. Daryl knew and stated that “life is not about winning or losing, more or less, but about being humble and responsible with what you’ve been entrusted with.” He strongly advocated that we could all accomplish more by working together and always said to “build coalitions of the willing.”
